Kuantan Sri Murugan Temple

SRI MURUGAN TEMPLE was built in the year 1967 and was officially registered in 1982. After 40 years of serving the Hindu community of Kuantan with a place of worship, the temple management has been officially notified by the State Government to relocate to the Government allocated land at Kampung Tiram, Indera Mahkota, Kuantan. The construction of the new temple will cost almost RM 1.5 million. As such there is a great need to raise sufficient fund to successfully accomplish this project. The temple management committee humbly request kind support from the Hindu community to contribute generously towards this divine cause. OUR PROMISE TO KUANTAN DEVOTEES

The committee would like to stress that this temple is not only going to be a place for worship but we would like to make this temple as a place to bring up our Indian Culture and going to be an educational hub for the young generation. Most of the current temples are forgetting the purpose of building a temple. They keep on collecting money from people by organising various prayers and sometimes the prayers are not suitable for the particular temple. Some of the prayers are organised out of the actual date and time (For example: Sani Payirchi , Guru Payirchi). It shows clearly that these prayers are organised mainly to collect money from people. Some prayers are organised at the wrong date just thinking of the convinient of the Gurukkal. Some of them keep on buying property under the temple's name but doing nothing for the benefit of the devotees. The old aged committee members should give away the post for the younger generation so that they will suggest and implement new ideas in managing the temple.......... (Click Here For More Details)

Special Devotional Audio CD is produced for FUND RAISING

This CD is produced for the sole purpose of raising fund for the construction of Sri Murugan Temple. The entire collection from the sales of these CDs will be channelled for the reconstruction of the temple at it's new location on the land allocated by the Pahang State Government at Kampung Tiram, Indera Mahkota, Kuantan, Pahang.

We are having some difficulties in selling the CDs from the local people because we have very low Indian population. We will be very thankful if any of you could help us to sell these CDs in other states or country for us to raise some money for reconstructing the temple.
